What we don’t do

  • Operate a foreign-country “boots-on-the-ground” service. We are not a Mexico or Colombia operations firm.
  • Certify clients as compliant with foreign privacy frameworks (LFPDPPP, Ley 1581, GDPR). We can advise at a general level — certification work belongs with local counsel.
  • Provide on-site dispatch outside the United States. International on-site work is coordinated with the client’s local providers.
  • Take on engagements where local language, regulator, or labor expertise is essential and we don’t have it.
  • Pretend to know things we don’t. If a question is outside our lane we say so and refer.

If your business operates in Mexico or Colombia you may have heard us — or others — reference frameworks like Mexico’s LFPDPPP or Colombia’s Ley 1581. We want to be clear about how we engage with these:

What we will do

Discuss frameworks at a general technical level — data flows, where data lives, encryption, access controls — so your IT architecture doesn’t make compliance harder than it already is.

What we won’t do

Sign off on legal compliance with foreign privacy laws or write your Privacy Notices, Avisos de Privacidad, or Data Treatment Manuals. That work belongs with attorneys licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
